help_outline I have an existing system in my home. Can you still help me?
Yes, our talented team has taken on all sorts of projects from new construction to plenty of existing system takeovers. We'll want to start by evaluating what we might be able to save and what we'll need to replace.
help_outline Do you work with my builder? What's the process?
We work with many builders and there's a good chance we do already work with your builder. Just as other contractors like electricians and plumbers coordinate with your builder, we will do the same. It starts with a pre-wire process based on the systems you would like to have installed. Then when ready, we'll return to install, program, and train you on your new integrated systems.
help_outline Can I have a system monitored without a landline phone?
Yes! We can install a Cellular Communicator to both Fire and Intrusion Systems. This will eliminate the need for a hardwired phoneline and save you money!

Allstar Alarm offers pet-friendly technology—including infrared motion detectors, glass break sensors and home automation equipment.

Many municipalities require that you obtain an alarm registration or permit for your home security system. You should check with your municipality to find out what requirements they have and ask questions about the permit or registration.

Yes! Homeowner insurance companies give discounts of up to 20% or more for properties with monitored security systems.

Yes. Allstar Alarm offers an Extended Service Agreement which will cover the repair or replacement costs of the equipment for just a few dollars each month. Give us a call for more information!

Regular testing ensures the system is able to communicate with our Central Station Monitoring. Alarm systems should be tested once a month and after any changes to your phone, internet, or cable service.
help_outline What should I do if a door or window sensor falls off?
If a door or window sensor becomes dislodged you can set the system to bypass the zone, allowing you to keep the system armed with only those zones bypassed. For instructions on how to bypass a zone, you will need to refer to your system manual.

Yes, we offer both! Just give us a call and we can set this up for you!
help_outline If I lose power, will my alarm system still work?
Yes. In a power loss, the back-up battery will activate and will operate your alarm system for several hours.
help_outline How long will my back up battery last?
IM-1240 (4amp hr) will last roughly 6-10 Hours, while IM-1270 (7amp hr) will last roughly 10-16 Hours. This will depend on how many units are on the system and how often the alarm is triggered.
